Jackson Muneza Mvunganyi is a multimedia reporter and host Upfront a Youth oriented talk show on the Voice of America. Each week, Upfront reaches millions of young adults on the African continent and beyond. A native of Rwanda, Mvunganyi has a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia development from the American University in Washington D.C., and a Masters degree in Information Management at the University of Maryland. Jackson has had a multi-faceted broadcasting career so far, working in both radio and television, in Africa and the United States.
He volunteers his time with African communities in the Diaspora to seek ways to keep the connection with the continent. Jackson is the co-founder and vice president of Rwanda International Network Association. He serves on the board advisors for of INDEGO AFRICA an innovative social enterprise that fights poverty in Africa. He serves as moderator and organizer for Africa Gathering, a TED-like forum where activators,innovators and changemakers gather to share knowledge, exchange ideas and learn from each other. He has moderated numerous academic panels around the country on issues ranging from Youth,Justice,Development,leadership,diaspora etc.
